2009 is special year for Indonesian as we, citizen having privilege to use our ‘voice’ to elect our public officials. Eventually we will have our new people to represent us and last but not least new President and Vice President for the next 5 years. It’s our election day, indeed!

To be honest, I’ve never been so excited upon this ‘issue’ since my 1st and last election in Indonesia. It was back on 1997 and wasn’t really pleased me in many ways and made me stop ‘hoping’ and ‘rely’ on my government. I saw from ‘clown’ up to ‘uneducated’ persona who is way too lucky to have their position in the office either just being son or daughter of someone or knowing the right people. I admit couples of them are good in persona but not qualified as our representative. Did I have high hope on them? Indeed I was and still am though in reality things weren’t run as expected. Remember 1998? Horrible time for Indonesian, either for our economy, security and Government Issue.

None of them made me happy at all! Especially for someone who just graduated from university. It was difficult time for us as lot’s of people being laid off and unemployment found easily anywhere in Indonesia.

God has been kind and nice to me as I was able to get a fine job for someone who wasn’t even get her original scholastic report and certificate (yet). I had chance to work with the nicest Japanese CEO I’ve ever work with. The most amaze me was I got the job from one biggest newspaper advertisement, KOMPAS. The HRD told me, M san choose me as I can speak Nihon go and he loves the way I make my resume, short, clear, systematic and straight to the point. Just the way I talk indeed! Now days I learn to be more diplomatic as my huby thought me to. I guess I’m more western than he is LOL

Looking back those horrible times, I still can feel His blessing as I was able to provide for myself and helping a bit for my parent. I start paying the bills, buying things that I need, start from small things up to things that I wasn’t able to buy as my parent refuse to buy one for me. They told me, ‘yes you may have that if you pay it with your own money’, meaning ‘NEY NEY!’

It was horrible though as far as I can remember this little gurl survive! As a matter of fact on that year I was able to buy my own mobile phone together with its provider number. It wasn’t cheap back then, it was cost me more than Rp. 500,000,- for the number only. It might not big for you, the silver spoon though it’s remarkable moment in my life. I can survive without any help but Him and of course lot’s of prayer and support from my dad and mom.

It was Motorolla with it's 'naturale' design, woods casing and indeed relatively big and heavy one compare to what you have now days. OMG, the charger it might can be used for your refrigerator, yea right! LOL

Those horrible times made me start to think how not to got carry out and let the situation stop me instead of I’m the one who control the situation. Most of smart people that I know gone for better life in another country or being educated either their mama or daddy have the money or they just dang smart to have privilege to earn scholarship.

In my country if you are not smart or have the money you won’t be able to have education, especially for higher stage. We don’t have what you call ‘student loan’ that American student earn it if they want to.

My dad isn’t coming from rich family so that he must funded his own education either from his pocket money or scholarship. In the other hand my mom is one of lucky gurl, as her dad and mom fully funded her education from start to the end.

I’m more in between, I’m not that rich though my dad was capable to send me to any school I need to be. It was more to where I want to be as I was the one who always look for school that I want to attend. My parent, especially my dad always trust me and let me make my own decision and choose whatever I want and need to be. As a return I work hard to make them proud of me and learn how not to screw up. If I made mistake then I have to make it right for the sake of my ‘family name’. I suppose it has put me on track, no matter where I go I have to remember one thing, ‘the good sake of my family name – never ever put stained on them’. I’m making sure it will be stay in my family as tradition.

1997 indeed was my 1st and last election for those horrible reason, especially for me to have feeling that I can’t rely on my own government and for them in my point of view isn’t trustworthy. Surprisingly, I’ve been notice things are different now days. It’s gradually changing in better way though some haven’t but it seems we are ready to ‘take off’ especially in democracy issue in the year 2009.

Why I say so, at least 2 issues that I concern the most been taking care of; 1. I heard no more ‘bomb’ blow up in my country, meaning security been taking care of a.k.a Indonesia is safe place to live in or traveling. 2. Lot’s of corruption being processed and some of high rank people who did it been sent to jail, meaning we will eventually have a clean government that can be trust meaning more cheese to distribute for the common people.

I do think our former President, Susilo Bambang Yudoyono had done good job and deserve credit. So far I can’t see any better candidate for our next President. I do think he deserves one more term so that he has more time to polish his work and finish his home work, creating a good, solid and conducive situation within government and whole country.

For issue no. 1, the people who commit such a horrible crime been sentenced to death and its best move from him. Not only that, on the late 2008 his in law, Aulia Pohan was being questioned for corruption matter as for him is his in law doesn’t mean he can get away from it. I’m hoping he will be processed fairly and if he is proven guilty then he must send to jail like others that already did. It’s definitely a fresh breeze movement from SBY in corruption matter.

One word from me, I would never ever elect Megawati as my President as she has failed years ago when she took over the position from President Wahid. I heard so many things happen, especially on security issue, she definitely can’t be a good chief commander. She might be good for her party but not as Indonesian President. Not that I hate PDI-P but she just not the quality we need for.

I (MIGHT) going to elect Mr. SUSILO BAMBANG YUDOYONO for the next election day. Just for one more term, indeed as I’m pleased one to two issues he gives service to us, his people and country, Indonesia.

In this Island visitors are free to see directly komodo as the biggest lizard species in the world with average 3.13 meter long and 165 kg weigh hanging around freely. However, we must remain aware of it for Komodo is cannibal animal and carnivore.
In addition, visitor can also see these animal activities like breeding of komodo taken place between May to August, komodo partaking deer, goat, pig and see komodo sunbathing in open area and in trees in the morning.
In this Island, komodo lives and proliferate well. And the most terrific threat is human being for human usually hunts deer and wild boar, as the favorite food of this reptile. Now, in this island is found at least one thousand two hundred komodos, plus komodo from other island, Rinca Island, so that total komodo in these islands is about 2500 komodos.
